A short read on how Gro Wing CRM picks teammates — and why every finalist ships real work before we make an offer.
We're a small team. Every hire moves the average. Here's how we run the process, and why.
Screen for judgment, not credentials
We don't care where you went to school or which logos are on your resume. We care whether you can weigh a tradeoff, explain your reasoning and change your mind when the facts change.
In the first conversation we ask about a real decision you made: what the options were, what you picked, what happened, and what you'd do differently. The details tell us far more than a list of titles.
Ship real work in the loop
Every finalist gets a small, paid project on real code or real content. It's scoped to a few hours, not a week of unpaid work. If you can ship well, we know quickly — and you get a real sense of what working with us is like.
We look at three things:
- Clarity. Did you understand the problem, and ask good questions where it was ambiguous?
- Taste. Is the result simple, readable and finished?
- Communication. Could someone else pick up your work from what you wrote?
Talk to the people you'd work with
Finalists meet the teammates they'd work with day to day, not just a hiring manager. Ask them anything — how decisions get made, what's hard, what they'd change.
Say no fast, say yes slowly
If it's a no, we tell you within 48 hours, with a short, honest reason. If it's a yes, we take our time so both sides land right — role, expectations and first 90 days agreed in writing.
What we'd tell any small team
Write down what "great" looks like for the role before you open it. Use a paid work sample instead of trick interviews. Decide fast on the no's. Your hiring process is the first thing a candidate learns about how your company works.
